The Lauder Institute Alumni Association is very excited to bring you our first  professional development event  of 2016 on March 23th from 6pm to 9pm. . Building on  the great turnout  at our recent Mid-Winter Social, here is another chance to mingle with fellow alumni while learning something   at McKinsey’s New York Offices.

Paul Aris ( Lauder Class of 1987) will share a few  lessons from  behavioral finance which should make  you a better investor. Come learn about mental accounting, framing, recency,  overconfidence,  herd behavior, and how they influence your investment decisions. Paul will introduce you to  your investor personality, and will review how a goals based wealth management approach may help you  better achieve success.

 Paul Aris, CFA runs a wealth management practice at Merrill Lynch focusing on serving the needs of affluent individuals and their families. He helps develop appropriate financial plans, investment strategies, and estate plans to help his clients achieve their financial objectives. He was formerly a Vice President in JP Morgan’s Private Bank. Before that, he managed a hedge fund focused on special situations investing. Prior to that, he was a Vice President at Chase Securities helping institutional clients hedge their market risks via derivatives, and a Capital Markets Specialist at Salomon Brothers. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of the LIAA, and is the Chair of its Committee on Continuing Education and Professional Development.
